I always feel like such a god damn boss in this car. Isn't that how cars are supposed to make you feel?

You probably have my favorite car on oppo. And yes, your car should make you feel like a boss, I'd take that over driving dynamics and other practical nonsense anyday.

This is why I love old cars over new cars. My dad had a '68 Valiant that I drove to school on occasion. The Valiant was, basically, the era's shitbox. But good lord did I feel like a boss driving that thing.

Because little says GET THE FUCK OUT OF MY WAY quite in the way a giant American landyacht of old says it.

That's a high compliment with the calibre of cars on this blog. Thanks! I laid rubber through an intersection tonight just because I felt like it. Probably burned $4 of gas in 60 ft haha

There's more metal in that thing than in six Civics.

She's a full 19.5 feet long and about 6.5 feet wide. In Europe they'd call that a country.

She's a 1969 Chrysler Newport with a 290 horse 383 V8. I rescued it from languishing in a parking garage for $1,700. Now she's my 12 mpg summer ride.

I assume you're like an average sized guy.
Based on that assumption, that looks like space for quite a few dead bodies.

Wear an unnecessary suit & tie everywhere you go.
That car + suit + sunglasses = Boss status X10.

Does it have a posi? I think some of the bigger Chryslers came with one as part of a towing package or something.

I've wondered since whether or not I could cram a 426 into that car.
Alas, it was sold right before I graduated.

Dear lord is that thing huge. You could easily lop a foot off the front and two off the back without impacting the car's functionality.

First, I always love seeing pics and stories of your car, because it's badass and I'd assume you'd have to be a badass to drive it.
Second, that's an excellent photo. Could be straight off the cover of "Poor Fuel Economy" monthly.

I always liked the looks of the 1969 Dodge Polara 440. One day I'm going to buy one.

I legit thought this was a screen cap from Taxi Driver (1978). Great shot
