So I'm selling my 944. Got a call from a guy tonight saying he was interested. Wanted to look at it and evaluate.

I've never sold a car before. What do I do? What do I say? Are there must-ask questions I should pose? Do's/dont's?

Gib advise pls.

you as a seller? no questions for you to ask

maybe: how do you plan on getting it home

dos: give the car a good clean, outside AND in. its not much, but its can turnm a 6900 car into a 7200 car.

have at least 1.2 a tank of gas.
tires inflated"
good abtery
if there are any problems, inform them about it.
talk it up. its a freaking porsche for crying out loud.

He's the one who asks the questions, not you :p

Good luck on the sale though

will do. I need to give it a good vac inside and a bit of a wash. Airing up the tires and gassing up are on the list too.

make sure you see his license before you let him behind the wheel, and make sure he is very familiar with Manual if applicable. Also, make sure he has the cash there is he wants to drive it.

pro tip: to get ALL of the dirt out of the floor mats, dont bother vacumming. (also, give it an interior shampoo, find a coin-op carwash

to get all of the dirt out of the mats, power wash it. hang it on a wall, and just spray it until the water running down is clean. ud be AMAZED at how long it takes (took me an honest to god 45 seconds on the drivers floor mat of my dads audi..)

If he buys it, don't let him use your tags/plates to get it home unless you drive it there and remove the plates. Once you sign the title, you have no insurance and should not be driving the car.
