I'm looking for an IT assistant type person. If you're in Austin Texas and have about 4-6 years experience, let me know. Duties would include some server administration, some desktop support, some network support and a pretty good dose of "wires and pliers" work. I don't know yet if it's a permanent long term position, but that's what I'm asking to be allowed to hire.

I'm asking for permanent. I'll know tomorrow if I'll be allowed to offer a permanent gig.

I certainly hope so. I've got a meeting w/ my boss tomorrow to find out whether I'll be allowed to hire a full time permanent employee.

I'd be that german friend, and in theory that sounds not bad. I'm working IT Service & Repair for close to 9 years, from basic tech to deput service lead. But all that is pretty useless unless your employer happens to be looking for a native german speaker for whatsoever reason, to justify the "paperwork" ;). Feel free to send me a short mail , for either possible answer.
