So I think I choose this Mazda 6 over !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! ,

I choose the Mazda 6 over the Skyline because
1. The Mazda 6 is Manual
2. The Mazda 6 is a Wagon
3. The Mazda 6 is LHD
4. It's a newer, MUCH more common car, easy to find parts
5. The Mazda 6 still has powertrain warranty for a bit, the skyline has no warranty.
6. The Mazda 6 is a wagon, making it more practical, along with LHD.
7. My Family LOVES Mazda, so it would be much much much easier to convince them to get this
8. The Mazda 6 GT outputs ~230hp, while the Skyline has a wimpy 128 hp. The Skyline's 0-60 is slower than my Camry Hybrid...
9. I imagine the Mazda 6 is easier to insure.
10. Edit: It's better equipped than both the Skyline and Camry. Heated Seats, Leather, Sunroof, Heated Mirrors, etc.
So Oppo, do you think this Mazda 6 is a better decision for me? I am probably trading my Camry for it, because this has less KMs, and it's cooler and faster while still being reasonable.
I was also wondering, how is the V6 in the Mazda 6, how is the Wagon, and how is the manual?
Note: Mazdaspeed 6 is out of my price range, this seems like the best midsize wagon out there, I like the Legacy but this has better fuel economy.

Transmissions are great.
BUT.
Beware of coils, converters, and control arms. Oh, and rust.
And if it doesn't have the factory rear tonneau cover/divider, you'll never find one.
Edit: I am a sucker for Sepang Green though.

With cars this clean (and this car is clean it appears) I look for wear on the steering wheel. It's the thing you touch all the time and when they get old-grimy they just feel gross.
I think this is a wise choice over the Skyline.

These are good cars, I wish they had a wagon Speed 6. If you want something quicker and with AWD you can find a Mazdaspeed 6s for this price or not much more.

Honestly, I love skyline, but my friends think its cooler, and other than mileage, beats the Skyline in Speed, Comfort, Fuel Economy, Safety, Storage and Equipment.

Only 3 Mazdaspeed 6s in the area, the only one in this price range is $1000 more and has 240,000 kms. This is the next best thing.

Ya this car is way better than that. Where I am there were 3 for sale around this price with miles from like 100k to 150 but Nevada is a long way from Canada so obviously the market is probably different.

Canada in general has more expensive cars. There isn't a single Mazdaspeed 3 in this price range. I'm suprised I found a fully loaded anything under 150,000kms for under $10,000

You can probably find a good Skyline turbo for this price. I bought my GTS-T for $7000 shipped from Japan. In Canada they should be all over but then they probably wouldn't be anywhere near the quality of this Mazda they would just be faster and rear wheel drive. Depends what you are really looking for.

I would like it, and I can find it. But none are stock, and the insurance on that is unaffordable for me right now :/

I was very lucky finding a stock one myself. Insurance is a killer too especially if you are younger. I had a 350Z 10 years ago when I just turned 21 and that was super expensive.

I'm turning 18 next month. Insurance is killer on anything, let alone a turbo, especially from the 90s
I checked the insurance on the 6, it's not bad at all. It's not classified as sports in the wagon form too

oh ya I wouldn't get something like a skyline as a first car. I had a Mazda Protege and a Ford Taurus wagon, which basically was like the 90s version of this Mazda similar condition and just as old, before I had anything like a 350Z or Skyline.

Defintley when I'm older, after 25, I'd get something nicer, maybe a WRX or a Skyline GTS-T sedan.
If I was open to import anything from Japan, i'd totally look at a Toyota Crown or something also.

This is a great choice. If you can't do Mazdaspeed, this is great. Something you can have a good time with and the family will love too.
