I spent all last week driving a 2013 Fusion, and all of this week driving a 200c. The results may surprise you.
Across the board, in all categories, I choose the Chrysler. The ride and handling is better. The transmission is significantly better. The seats are better. Visibility is better. Its quieter. The interior materials are just as good. The only thing that is worse is the mpg, but its a difference of about 4mpg. Its much better than the Fusion on the highway for mpg, but worse in the city. The audio is a wash between the two, sync and uconnect seem to operate extremely similarly.
In my opinion, the Fusion was the best in it's class. After spending a lot of time with both, I honestly think that the 200c is simply a better car.

it has no ass. I do like the front though, I don't like the look of most Chrysler fronts, but this one doesn't look like it was a bastard child of the early 90's

AWD is the decisive factor. AWD all the way.

What trim levels? I've never been in a 200 but my mothers Fusion Titanium frankly astounded me with how high quality everything felt.

I had a customer come in today to drive a Passat right after she drove a 200. Apparently it drives nice, but it's filled with blind-spots and the available 4-cylinder leaves quite a bit to be desired.

The roommate and I were talking about the 200 a couple weeks ago. He insists it's the only midsize currently for sale that looks like what we thought cars would look like in 2014.

Different class, no?
It's smaller than the Fusion.
My brother, who is not a car person at all just got a new Fusion Energi on lease. I tried to get him to look at the 200, this confirms my assumption that it would be a better car.

I adore the seats in my Fusion, I have said on many occasion that they are the most comfortable car seat I have ever been in, of course i also prefer my bed to be just softer than a pile of stones...
As for visibility, i agree. the A pillars on the fusion are disgustingly huge, and you cant see a damn thing out the back. I regret now not getting the back up radar option.
The transmission comment, in D the 6F35 does the job, sometimes it feels like it is searching for the right gear, In sport. I love it. I wish every transmission was this way.

I had a Fusion rental car a couple months ago, and it has a very simple deal breaker for me: the seats. Well really, the seat adjusters. The seats themselves—cushions, bolsters, etc—are fine.
But, the seat adjuster doesn't let you flatten the angle of the seat bottom enough. The front is always too high in relation to the back. The power seat controls have front and rear height adjusters. The front height adjuster raises and lowers the front of the seat. The "rear" seat height adjuster, rather than moving only the rear of the seat base up or down, moves the whole seat up and down.
Even with the front seat height adjuster fully lowered, the seat bottom is still too sloped for me, and the not-actually-rear seat height adjuster is absolutely no help with this. My legs just can't get comfy with the front of the seat being too high like that.
Which really, ruins an otherwise perfectly decent car. Why does the "rear" seat height adjuster move the whole seat? If someone wants to raise the whole seat, it would be simple enough to raise both the front and the rear adjusters. This is how literally every other car with power seats I've owned works.
There are plenty of cars that overall are much less comfortable than a Fusion, where I'm able to get comfy just fine. Because their seats aren't so damned sloped.

Fusion SE with leather option is just as good but 5K less. Have you that mine is only the 1.6L FWD. You can get the SE with the 2.0 AWD for a good chunk less than the titanium. Not to say I don't like the Titanium I just think the SE is a better bang for your buck if properly equipped.

this seems like a touch of an unfair fight.
Wouldn't Ford vs Dodge and Lincoln vs Chrysler be more appropriate?
I mean I know the cost isn't drastically different here but it seems off...
Interesting either way though to be honest.
