Am very disappointed.

I dunno about the playing as a Sim part, because I haven't gotten there yet, but the building of houses is so... stupid now.

In the Sims 3 it was very straight forward. Now it's like they wanted to intentionally make everything difficult and annoying. Stuff that would take me 2 minutes to build in Sims 3 takes me 10 in 4.

It's a shame because I've had every Sims game and this one is by far the worst in terms of building houses, which is my favorite part.

Make that two series I used to love that EA has ruined.

Here's a car for listening to my non-car related complaining.

Oh yeah, they took cars out too.

I wonder what Best Buy's return policy is for games. Probably still has to be in the plastic wrapping, which means I'm out $65 for a game I won't play probably.

I made the mistake of getting excited over SimCity and preordered the $80 version of that crap. Once the server issue cleared and I could actually play, I had a city spanning the limit of the grid in under an hours time and was done with the game.

The number of people complaining about that thing being an overpriced Golf is very entertaining.

"I don't care what the expert reviewer says after driving the car for a week, I've seen pictures of it online! And they're lying about the AWD. It's really FWD bahahaha!"

As long as they don't ruin Skate, they still have at least one redeeming quality. That's really the only "ripoff" franchise that completely obliterated the original forever.

EA is just king of ruining once good series. NFS went from being my favorite game to something I won't even take a second look at.

I remember the first sims game was developed to be a tool for Architects to use to judge how people will react to certain spaces (it's initial purpose before they turned it into a game). I wish it had carried on some of those concepts throughout the revisions, would have peaked my interest more.

I think pro-street was probably the best version of that game, kind of arcadey, kind of sim. still had customization and tuning that matters.

I want a hardcore race car building simulator that you run on the track, i want real engine part upgrades, think of tie in with jegs or summit, the REAL part manufacturers use some bogus Dyno2000 software to run a model of how the engine should really act.

That will never happen with EA, though. I for one would like a racing game that is a proper simulation but does not take itself seriously at all, complete with totally idiotic variety of events, such as 1970s Landyacht rallying, bar stool racing and other over the top stuff. With the current sims all being more or less the same serious, repetitive "Race [insert generic overused Supercar] around [insert generic overused Track]", this would be fresh, awesome and fun provided it's done right. This will never happen, though.

There are cars in Sims 4, they're just DLC. You get 2 cars for $9.99. If you want the other 4 cars, you have to get the deluxe edition for a very reasonable $19.99.

On a serious note, definitely not buying it if there are no cars.

built out one city to the point of having to recycle buildings and infrastructure to move an otherwise profitable city into new techs, etc. that alone was painful...

go high tech they said, get colleges and university for higher wage earners they said.

whole city ended up looking like the front yard of my fraternity after a rager within minutes.

Started another one that was all coal , and low income.. but it bored me after a few hours.

nope. im out.

never touched it again.

Sim city 2000 was actually the pinnacle of that game.

I owned the original Sims and The Sims 2. Still play TS2 occasionally. But I never bought 3, and only hear discouraging things about 4.

As for cars being left out of TS4, my guess is that they'll be included in a later expansion pack that you have to buy.

ooof. Its so heartbreaking it when a series nerfs your favorite feature. GTA:V was that game for me. Goodbye realistic fwd/awd/rwd feel, goodbye ebrake & throttle drifts (the entire point of the game for me lol), hello handling on rails & push-to-drift ala mario cart.
