I went to the Udvar-Hazy Center in Dulles this weekend, and checked out the shuttle Discovery. It's obviously in pre-owned condition. Also, enjoy these shots of the Enola Gay, the last Concorde to retire, and a Porsche 911SC!

Seriously one of the coolest places I've been. I went in 09, I think. Before the Enterprise was pulled out.

The sizable display of various piston engines throughout aviation history was one of my favorite parts of the museum.

Gotta love those ceramic tiles. They have the ability to withstand the extreme temperatures and conditions of traveling through the atmosphere, but you could shatter them with your bare hands.

You ever watch the Shuttles at the Museum? You can always tell which ones were captured in the wild by the look in their eyes. The wild shuttle. She remembers running across the plain, the thrill of the hunt. 120 tons of killing fury, locked in a box. But after a while, their eyes start to glaze over, and you can tell their soul has died.
