Is it bad to lust over kitchen appliances the way that I occasionally lust over cars?

It's like it would be really sweet to have but I just don't want to have to pay for it.

I can vouch for that. My sister is still using the one our mom bought in 1975. She's kept it long enough that Harvest Gold is back in style, at least for a little while.
