Okay, I'll admit, the new Camry is ugly, and is an abomination to many people's standards. But that is not why I'm defending it. The grille is huge, and less than 30% is being useful. The spindle grille is a bit unfitting for such a car.

A big grille is something that can make this an excellent platform for a sleeper. Unblocking the mesh grille will allow for a large intercooler to get air, if a turbo or supercharger are installed, improving the 270 HP the 3.5 V6 already puts out.

Imagine, maybe in 10 years, somebody's going to find use in making the "ultimate sleeper" by getting a 10 year old Camry, because it'll fit their 1000 HP Hydrogen petrol fusion engine.

And it's a Camry. Nobody double takes those, and when the prices drop, tuners looking for something subtle, with potential will flood their garages with these. Or maybe another !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! will be made.

Dude. The fact that you can buy a new V6 Camry and still beat out many cars in a straight line is amazing. 0-60 in under 6 seconds.

Designing a car that will get cheap, tuned and popular in 10 years is not what you should aim for when you design a brand new car. Ok, so I'm biased. I'm personally not a fan of the current Toyota design language - lame, roundish, subdued and artificially aggressive.

But if most car makers can make a good looking car, the biggest freaking car company in the world should be able to do slightly better!

Make an appealing and wild variant of the Camry, Toyota. That's not too much to ask for....

I have to say, the Camry is on its way out of the beige. Its not there yet, but its getting there. I just hope this gen has at least some steering feel

But most of all, they should make the damn thing look attractive or sharp or something. Mazda is a great example. I really like where they're going with their designs....
