Who Wants to Be In A Short Documentary About Car Culture?

Hello fellow Jalops!

I'm working on a graduate photojournalism thesis at the George Washington University in D.C. and am looking for a couple of enthusiasts based on the east coast to appear in a short documentary about car culture today and what its future and our relationships with cars might look like in the wake of EVs, hybrids, car-sharing, 3-d printed cars, etc.

I'm looking for folks with unique cars, wild stories, and special driver/car relationships. I'd love to hear your stories in the comments below!

I'm in NYC, and honestly not all that interesting, but I'm on my 3rd e28 because I like build quality, open greenhouses, and minimal electronics. Don't expect a squeaky clean car!

I have a few connections in EV and hybrid culture, and I have some stories of my own on cars. I am an aspiring automotive technician, loved cars the second I was born. Only thing I'm missing is that I don't have a unique car just yet.

I'd be very excited to participate in your project.

I'm in Atlanta and have loved cars since I was a kid. Have had a variety of vehicles and recently got rid of a Boxster for a manual V Wagon so I could have room and fun with my boys (one rides a booster seat in the Wagon). Goal is to do some fun, driving-related road trips - have already done a race weekend with my oldest

I have been into car culture since I was a kid used to go to the drags and car shows with my dad as a boy. Got knee deep into street racing and online communities as a teen and am now a moderator/admin on a car focused regional forum/FB page that has ran drag racing, drift and car shows in the area for over 10 years. Seeing the types of cars people are into change but not the community, speaks volumes of how the supposed EV/hybrid end of car culture is wrong.
