Seemingly inspired by BMW and their Pickup-converted E92 M3 Project, Nissan has released footage of their small, custom work truck. It's called Sparky and appears to be utterly useless.
I'm not even talking about the way it looks (like a cut hamster to be honest). It's just that the "truck's" bed is so small and shallow that it barely can fit a tire. Is that the way Nissan wants to advertise the Leaf?

I think Nissan is just trying to desperately prove they haven't become as boring and beige as Toyota.

are you kidding me? Nissan isn't even close to boring. Nismo juke, 370z, the mother$&@?ing GTR, those fast infinity coupes, and the eau rouge is totally badass

I know they make plenty of more enthusiast oriented products, but I think people judge "beigeness" by how sporty their regular offerings are, and the most recent Altima/Maxima/Rogue/Sentra etc. are definitely more beige than their predecessors. I love Nissan, I'm on my second Versa, I'm just saying what I think is the perception of them these days.

The attachments here look pretty purposefully designed to carry something specific. As a generic truck it'd be useless, but if it has a distinct purpose it isn't.
Also it got you talking about the Leaf, so I think their plan worked.

Besides being unattractive as hell ... what a pointless exercise!
