This looks like the usual Focus ST publicity. Flashy color, Big rims, Agile Scene, and an emphasis on performance. Theres also the awesome quote: "Trying to catch it is not easy, but it sure is fun to see them try". I thought it was pretty cool, right until I saw the BITURBO MOTOR subtitle under a picture of the engine. Now, I know the 3.5 Eco-boost indeed has 2 Turbochargers, but I don't recall the 2.0L Eco-boost to have a pair.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

I could be wrong, although I checked on sites and the only "BI" thing this engine has is Twin independent Variable Camshaft Timing.

Ford of Mexico makes a lot of mistakes. The 2013 Mustang catalogue listed the GT500 as having a "5.8 Turbocharged V8 Engine".

You missed the last part. "When you need to get from Guatemala to Texas in a hurry, We now offer a twin turbo".

I once read in a Ford of Colombia brochure that my cousin received when he took delivery of his 2014 Mustang GT that the Mustang GT and the SVT Raptor both have 5.0 V8s with 420 bhp each.

Why is Ford the only ones who make incorrect brochures??

Parece que es problema mundial. It's not just Ford. I've seen it with SEAT, Renault, and Dodge as well. Both in the USA and in Colombia. Then again, it's mostly Ford where I've seen errors.

They know that most of their customers don't go into detail with the specs of the cars. I know several people who don't bother going into detail about what BMWs or Audis they were going to buy, they just bought them because they look nice. You could tell them that a BMW 316i will hit 60 in 4.7 seconds or that an Audi A1 1.4 TFSI has 300 bhp and they wouldn't really know better. If they publish it, the clients will believe it to be true.

I understand. I mean, how many people get into a BMW dealership and just buy the one on the lot because it looks nice? All without knowing they can get another option or delete an unnecessary one. But to me, the brands shouldn't be so lazy about it and make every detail correctly.

I think we can agree that a great portion of said buyers don't really know much about their cars. Your Focus ST ad is a great example. A kid in my school got a Focus ST for his birthday. He tells everyone that it has a V8 from the Mustang. Most people I know that buy said cars don't buy them for the options, but rather for the fact that it has a BMW, Audi, or any other "prestigious" badge on the front and back. Although there are brands that make up details when they don't want to proofread, most brands actually care about accuracy in advertisement.
