Had a great weekend, where to begin?
Saturday morning Cars & Coffee. Met with Jay Lauer and JayhawkJake to check out what Wichita C&C had to offer this time around. Here's some of what we found:
Seeing these guys leaving was pretty cool. The running, manual Jag had to be the only example for miles.
Jay let me take his s2k for a spin which was fun. Not that I expected it to be similar to my car but it was still surprising how different it was than my MR2. There were some luxury dealerships around the corner from C&C so we checked out some of the cool stuff they had there.
On to autocross! Another beautiful day during which I had some not so beautiful runs. The course was fun but I couldn't put together a good run to save my life or dignity. Here's a video of our parade lap, some pro drifting done by Jayhawk Jake and myself, and my best run of the day. Which managed to beat my first run by all of .007 seconds... Hooray? Consistency is a good thing, right? The amazing part about the spin was that Jayhawk Jake and spun in places immediately adjacent to each other at almost the exact same time. Regardless, I had a great time with Sportwagen and Danceswithrotors who were also present.

In other news I might've found some wheels which will keep me in CS so I don't have to move to a modified/prepared class. Hope the rest of oppo had a worthwhile weekend!

yeah, it's funny how subtle the start of my spin is in the video. Though my gopro decided it likes life as a plastic brick now...
