My friend and I did a loop today that has me feeling incredibly content with the state of my life. I've covered a whole lot of miles in my 12 years of licensed driving but I think the ones I racked up this morning were hands down the best.
Already going through the photos and GoPro footage. Will be writing a full article about the experience including details about the route, can't wait to share it with ya'll.
Here are a couple of my favorite shots. Goddamn, I'm getting a fuzzy feeling just looking at these. Can't wait to take the ZL1 on this loop next week!
Fueling up the boxers.
I'll probably share this location later this week but then again, I may not.
Nate and our new friend at "The Place". He's there every Sunday, was our 1st time.
Insane views along the route, lots of variation in the scenery.
Even at elevation, the WRX kept up with the 911 as you can see here.
Some of the roads were pretty well worn.
And some were not.
Averaging 51, no easy feat given the layout of the loop but somehow Nate did it. WRX does not have an onboard computer to measure such things, wuh wuh wuh.
Andrew Maness writes about cars because he has one and also has a computer. He's been known to drunkenly Tweet as !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and upload photos to !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! . He also has a !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! and thinks talking about himself in the 3rd person is really weird but knows it's necessary if he wants to be taken seriously as an Oppo contributor.

This makes me want to post the roads I drive with the family.
This brings me to my next point; if/when you want to have a family, make sure that you find someone who likes to do pointless road trips. It makes life so much easier.

Near Idyllwild?
Hwy 74 is a good run as well, just watch out for bikers.
