Someone posted this on Facebook and a good part of my grade decided to have a huge debate over the whole issue of dress codes in our school. I just sat there reading the comments.

Yeah they say the boys looking at them and shit, but that's really not the reason.

It has more to do with the teachers that are either pedos or older women that are jealous that they don't look young/beautiful or whatnot. So it's not covering up because they're too distracting for the boys, which may be true, but it's really to cover up for the pedos "look I'm a dirty old man so please don't distract me" or "I know I'm old and past my prime so please don't rub it in my face"

Most likely only the hot girls actually got in trouble. If they were fat 300 lb kids dressing like that, they usually let it slide—and possibly laugh at them in the teacher's lounge in secret. And of course the teasing they get from other kids is punishment enough.

And can we abolish tenure already?

As far as I'm concerned, hormonally charged youngsters exploring and gazing at each other is perfectly healthy. If the boys can't multitask that's their own damn problem.

Ugh. dress codes. Some parts of it are just silly, just because of a minority of easily aroused . I had conversations with friends (who are also girls mind you) and they say the dress codes are fairly stupid, I don't mind short skirts or shorts, it doesn't make girls sexier IMO, as long as their butts are covered. One of my friends usually wears fairly short shorts in the summer, pockets are too small to have a smartphone in them, but she always wore pants to high school, and in University and college, the rule is a lot more lax, everyone should be an Adult, instead of a horny teen.

By the same token, we should also not allow men to be well dressed. Girls are attracted to well dressed men, like we're attracted to sexy girls.
