It's 2 am, this is probably my latest "thoughts" post for my camry replacement searching.
This Skyline GTS
!!! UNKNOWN CONTENT TYPE !!!
From what I can gather from the ad:
PROS:
It's a Skyline
It's a GTS
It's Japanese
RWD
71,000 KMS
$7,200 price
It's 100% Stock
Looks Mint Condition, " E-tested and Safety Certified. Ontario registration/ownership." and has never seen snow.
CONS:
It's a GTS (not a GTR)
It's Automatic
It's RHD (This could be a pro)
Parts might be difficult to find despite Canadians importing these a lot
thoughts? Nice Price/Crack Pipe i guess?
If this is still up next month, I'm honestly thinking of getting it. It's a Solid DD that is a huge head turner, with nissan reliability and amazing "street cred" even in it's base form.

All street creed is lost with that transmission. Is swapping a manual an easy thing as with the 240 sx?

I don't know about how the manual swapping would work. People do have Skylines and there is a following, but I imagine finding a proper manual to swap would be hard.
I know its taboo to have an automatic, but in this situation I'd be OK with it, swapping for a manual after college.

I found this looking for a manual, which might be just as good.
(Its in quebec but can be shipped here)

its super super tempting but I don't know if it will still be around next month. Also I doubt anyone in my family would be okay... it's very practical and not at the same time.

Not much power but definitely JDM cool points. I'd learn manual and then look at your new selections.

That Silvia would be a fantastic choice. You can point to practicality and gas mileage and it has serious hoonability/moddability.

it's so hard to choose. Mazda 6 and GS are other options, cool options, but for the plain car, Skyline beats them all in JDM goodness. Looks and everything (even if the sedan is a bit bland).
I'd only go auto for the sake i'd be using it as a DD almost. Manual swap it and do all the neat stuff after College.

They probably are good on insurance too compared to whatever else, I know 240SX was very good. The problem is their age and RHD. My family looks at car age as the biggest thing, anything before 2005 is a junker to them :/

You get a lot better at manual in city traffic and you get to be content in the fact that you're cooler than anybody else around. It'd help you get one over on all those stancebros too.

Difficult - I have driven a RHD Jag here in US America, and it is difficult to judge the distance to the centerline when you're way over on the other side of the car.

It actually leads to much cheaper parts and repairs and those things are quite reliable as you well know, I imagine. Point out they're the classics of the future and you could get into doing work yourself.

I feel like RHD would be very annoying to live with. My friend's borther had a R32 GTR, and had to reverse into drive thrus and was terrified of left turns, he sold it for a left hand drive car.

I'd start saving for this:
Nissan counterpoint to what I would drive in Canada

both would be in my dream garage, its like you know me perfectly. I love wagons, If I'm getting a Mazda 6, I'm getting a wagon no doubt.

Cannot imagine DD'ing a RHD car ... even for half an hour it was a chore.

GTS isn't a pro. It's not a GTS-T GTS25-T or GT-T or whatever the R33 was called. Non turbo. It's also an auto. I wouldn't play with it.

Yeah, a big problem with this, I found out yesterday it does 0-60 slower than any car in my family. My Camry Hybrid is faster...
