Hey Oppo. So I'm volunteering at the Black Rally Stages rally in New York tomorrow as a road closure marshal. Any tips for a first timer?

Sadly this is the first time in my rally career I won't be there. The best advice I can give you is bring food, prepare for cold (and possible wet), and don't get frustrated with the bouts of down time, because there will be quite a bit of down time. Have fun, talk to the drivers and co-drivers (they're all super friendly), and be sure to go to the awards ceremony after and have some of the chicken. The chicken is the best part of the rally. One year I ate a whole chicken (two full halves) in a single sitting because it was just so good, I couldn't stop myself. So much delicious shame.
