Today was my birthday! Celebrations (read: sitting around reading Oppo and playing Fourza) were great. But that said, I did get what might end up being the best gift I've ever gotten.

Every year, all of my family goes down to Disney World around November. But while we're all down there this time, they're going to take me to speedway on Disney property for one of those exotic car driving experiences! It's pretty much the automotive equivalent of hiring a prostitute, but it's still awesome and the closest I'll come to driving a car of that type for a long time if ever again. I don't think I've ever been so excited about anything in my life.

But now, I have to make a very difficult decision. I can only drive one car, and all the choices are tempting. The choices are: Nissan GT-R, Ferrari F430, Ferrari 458, Lamborghini Gallardo LP-560, Lamborghini Gallardo LP-570 Superleggera, Audi R8 V8, or a Porsche 997 Carrera S. I'm kind of leaning towards one of the Ferraris, but I want to know what you guys think. What car should I drive?

I think you need to decide whether AWD or RWD based on your perceived skills. I'd probably want the Audi - right balance of power and grip. Heart says 458, but I know me ....

I drive an Audi A6, so I'm used to AWD, which may influence the decision. In terms of perceived skills, I have no idea. I've never done a track day, but I have a steering wheel for Fourza and I'm pretty good. But that's kind of like saying "I watch a ton of porn, so I'm really good at sex".

Yeah - there is a Clarkson video somewhere of him driving an NSX on a game at Laguna Seca and him driving the same car for reals on the track. I got pretty fast around the Top Gear track in a shitty Alfa on GT5, but I'm betting I would crash and burn on the real thing. Ugh - I am useless. Maybe the GT-R with all the driver aids on? Still, that R8 beckons ... please make a lot of video and stay safe.
