Luc.A's post about the Hyundai Azera reminded me about how sometimes mainstream cars can excite us if they're interesting enough, For me it would have to be the Lada Signet, its an absolute rustbucket, but its oozing with character and while they sold well when they were new, not many are left on Canadian roads, It would probably also be tied with the Samara as well:

Alfasud, I think. I'm also interested in the new Renault Twingo due to the RR layout, even though Autocar's review is not kind to the car's handling.

Have you heard about Eurosamara?
I will always have a soft spot for Peugeot 309. And not just for the GTI variants. My family used to have one (similar to the pictured car but 5-door with cheapo hubcaps) when I was born (and pretty long after that). It may sound weird but I think that car is one reason why I'm petrolhead.
