While American police are stocking up on surplus military hardware, the Mexican authorities have a well aged airliner. Sure, the 727 isn't the latest and greatest, but it was a solid workhorse and looks bad-ass all blacked out. I saw a photo of it delivering a crew of officers to Baja to help keep order after Odile passed through.

I like the 727. Partly because they can be faster than the 737, and there's something cool and "jet-age excitement" about them.

I walked next to one of the Etihad planes at night and had to do a double take, it's pretty damn cool. There's a metallic in there like BMW's Carbon Black color.
But the 727 wins for having a rear stair you can parachute from :)
