Just a quick assortment of photos from the paddock of the Australian GT Championship as they were running as a support to the V8 Supercar Sandown 500.
Quick bit of info: Australian GT championship has a up-to 2013 development freeze at the moment to discourage people upgrading too frequently. So that's why there's not as much new machinery as there might be in other GT3 series' such as PWC or Blancpain.
This SLS AMG is run by Erebus Motorsport, who run the Mercedes V8 Supercars, and is constantly among the fastest cars on the track but is crippled by handicapping.
It also has one of the biggest wings I've seen short of a Can-Am car. It's like it has a goddamn surfboard hanging off the back.
This is the same 458 that won the 12hr at Bathurst this year, which had one of the most exciting finishes of any race I've seen.

A full Blancpain spec Gallardo FL2. Have to admit it looked a lot cooler up close than I ever thought it would with all those little aero bits.
$KAYBAIT ALERT! As a Ford guy, easily my favourite car out there! Sadly took a little beating over the weekend :( Best sounding and looking car out there, shame it's not as competitive as the newer cars.
Look at that undertray/diffuser! So aggressive!
Quick shot for the Porsche fanboys/girls. The only reason I took a pic is that I noticed it was the GT3R which is kinda cool I guess. I mean, at least it's not a commoner's GT3 Cup.
BONUS SHOT:
On the way out of the paddock, I did notice a Mclaren MP4-12C lurking in a transporter. It did give a great shot of the underbody aero these things have. Shame it wasn't on the track.
