Let me say that again, but with emphasis.

Apparently his 1967 Jaguar XKE was stolen from where he parked in New York, undocumented for 6 years, sold to a man in Southern California, owned for 40 years and then sold (and on its way to) a man in the Netherlands before customs realized the vehicle was hot.
I know we've all seen some really cool car reunion vehicles where parents get their vehicles back courtesy of wonderful children or something but this guy's car was stolen. STOLEN! It will definitely receive some TLC.

That's an awesome story!
I'm curious though, how does this all get sorted out? The guy in the Netherlands must be getting his money back, and if the original owner gets the car, what does the guy in CA get? Insurance?

Series 1.5 OTS.
Same as the series cars, but had open headlights.

I'm curious as well. I was scrolling through my Google news feed for the first time in forever and the story popped up as 15 minutes old. Figured I would share.
Looks like it's FP material now.

Lovely cars sitting still. Ogled one for years at a neighbors.
Never saw it in motion, I expect it's beautiful.

I love these stories.
I'm still waiting on my Accord to come back.
