What the hell? How does that even happen, he asks somewhat rhetorically.

Maybe they'd like to adjust the camber while they're at it.

Well the tire's ruined but hey, free wrench. Bright side, people.

Too bad it wasn't a ratcheting wrench. That would almost be worth the repair cost.

Yup - there was that one time when we were driving along in our Freelander and a screwdriver managed to embed itself deep in the tyre.

I used to work in a shop, never saw a wrench flat before. Cool.

I once got rear-ended on an off ramp (not the guy's fault - driving into the sun, around a turn, stopped traffic) and while pulled over to check for damage (surprisingly, none!) I found a really nice pair of adjustable pliers on the side of the road. In 60 seconds I went from the thinking the back end of my car was totalled to "hey sweet, free pliers!"

Once its been inspected ( big argument in favor of new tires), I'm driving it over to the place I got the tires mounted for an alignment. All in, 300.00 for rubber, mount & balance and an alignment.

Notice how one looks better than the others? methinks its a good thing i'm getting an alignment in the next couple days

It was being driven ~130 miles a day all summer (keene nh to manchester nh and back). came with its original wheels (and just barely legal tires), and these on the car. "Evoke F1" cheap, ebay wheels

Could be normal camber too. I know BMW's have aggressive camber that wear out the insides sooner on the rear tires. But yours looks like its on the outside. I'd be curious to see what comes of the alignment. Are these the front tires?

that was the front left i think
