Remember the Peugeot Exalt from last year? Well, Peugeot took the design cues of the Exalt and applied them to a crossover/SUV. Meet the Peugeot Quartz !

I think it looks great, almost like a new take on the VehiCROSS, but without the offroad pedigree.

Peugeot fitted the car with it's most powerful petrol engine, the 1.6l THP 270 engine, the same one you can have in the RCZ-R coupé. They added two 85kW electric motors, one driving the front wheels and one on the rear axle. That's a combine power output of 500hp !

Apparently the Quartz is the future of Peugeot's current ugly duckling crossover, the 3008.

Although I'm generally not a fan of CUVs, using styling cues from this concept for the replacement of the hideous 3008 could be a huge improvement. The 3008 and 5008 are the last leftovers of the dark ages of Peugeot (~2002-2012)

Well, the Onyx was never going to be produced anyway. But its design is starting to trickle down in the range, see the new 408, 308 GT, and facelifted 508.
