Dodge makes a better car.
They make the Viper GT3-R as a good to go GT3 car and will sell it to you for the low price of $459,000.

According to some redneck me and another youtuber had to deal with, the Hellcat is the best car ever and the fastest ever produced. He didn't last long in that flame war.

So either drive this on a track ~4 times a year or enjoy 770 HP (According to the 669 RWHP dyno) every day? Seems pretty clear to me.

I'm sure it works great when the sanctioning body makes a BoP that heavily favors it...

I know! Track cars are awesome!
Besides, when do you really enjoy the full 770hp on the street? I'd rather have a better track car that I can enjoy everywhere.

Yes, I'm not gonna say that Dodge doesn't make a better car, but come on, you gotta admit it; The Hellcat is pretty fucking awesome.

I'd rather have a street car. There will be at least 1 moment a day, no matter the traffic, where you'll be at the front at the lights with nothing but 500 feet of tarmac in front of you. That every day would never stop making me smile.

Supposedly it's eligible for these classes:
FIA GT3
United SportsCar Racing GT Daytona
Pirelli World Challenge GT
NARRA
SCCA/NASA
How competitive it is, I don't know. I think that's one of my favorite things about racecars that a lot of people don't appreciate. You don't build whatever you want, you build about what class you will be most effective at.
I want to go nuts and build up my Miata but I know once I leave the stock/street class that I won't be able to build up enough to be competitive in the better classes. Honestly though I did buy my Miata more to improve my skills than be competitive so I might just build it however I want.

.... I have a very extreme anti-Mopar bias that I try very hard not to express because I don't want to intentionally offend people. On top of that I have an even stronger anti-supercharger bias, I love Chevy but hate the ZR1 and ZL1. Then to top that off I like muscle cars but unless they're from the 60's I think they should make turning more than just an afterthought.
So no, I don't like the Hellcat.
My favorite modern muscle cars ranked:
1)Camaro Z/28
2)Mustang Boss 302
3)Camaro SS 1LE
4)Challenger A/T Unlimited
5)Mustang 3.7 V6 with Track Pack

Whatever you do there you could achieve the same with 500 horsepower. The only place 500+hp is going to matter is at the track.

It's not impossible to convert it for road use while still having something much better than even the TA Viper.

Anti supercharger? I find that really odd... I can see the hate for turbos because the lag associated. Is it forced induction in general?

To me, the Vipers also seem to sound a lot like older aircraft engines.

Well GT Daytona is I believe all private teams, and for the most part they can't match the pace of the GTLM class, which notably has the only GT works team in the USCC in Corvette Racing.
Interesting that they didn't go for a GTLM class since one team already fields Vipers in it.

No, I actually quite like turbos when they are well suited for the application. The biggest thing I don't like about superchargers is it just seems like lazy engineering to me. Let's just slap a blower on and power it by the accessory drive. It absorbs some of the horsepower it creates and gets worse gas mileage than both turbos and naturally aspirated motors.
