Tomorrow, I'm auditioning for an A Capella group. I have to sing 16-24 bars of a song. The current options are:

Yesterday

Feelin' Good

Don't Get Around Much Any More

Any suggestions for songs? I'm having no background anything whatsoever. It's kind of scary, considering it's been over 2 years since I've sang, but it should be fun.

Which version of Feeling Good? That's one of my favorite songs to sing, so gains my vote.

Probably the Michael Buble version.

The only song I know is Yesterday, so my input is pretty biased. You'll need a pretty big range to sing that.

The only Michael Buble song I can stand.

I second GhostZ's comment. Ahaha. I'm partial to the Nina Simone version, but I've actually heard the Muse version a cappella and it sounds amazing, especially if you can hit those high notes. Really can't go wrong with any of the three though. Good luck!

I would go with Feelin' Good or Don't Get Around... Yesterday's a great song, but I don't think it'd be as good for a vocal audition.

Sing a song you know. No time to learn something now. Something you can sing when you're nervous.

Listened to the Bublé version of Feelin' Good. Holy cow, what a band. He's fine, but that band is remarkable.

Hals und Beinbruch.

I won an award for Yesterday 2 years ago when my voice was at least an octave higher. I know the part very very well. I'm leaning towards that.

Sounds like a plan. The chord progression in the second measure can be treacherous, though. I've heard it butchered before. But go with what you know.
