That's a hell of a first purchase.

Now I'm mad, because I don't remember what I bought for my first time...

Go buy some craft beer, or whiskey, or anything other than malt liquor.

#schweg. I don't drink, but I've always assumed that alcohol is like exspensive coffee. The cheap stuff is disgusting, but gets the job done, and diminishing returns after a specific price point.

You're doing it right.

Next time go for the Steel Reserve, and be amazed how buzzed you get for only $2.

Or... OR ... if you're trying to be ironic, go for Colt 45. But just remember to wrap your shwiggity-shwag up in a Swisher Sweet, and get a pack of Newports to top it off. Consume while blasting Migos from your cell and you're all set.

Hell, if you're going to buy malt liquor you should get this stuff. I haven't had it in years, at least not since they got rid of the pull-off top in favor of the screw cap. The pull-off tops were great because then they really did look like hand grenades. But anyway, congratulations. You've taken your first step into a larger world. For better or worse.

ignore the non believers, but tis a slippery slope. The smooth hit (& volume) of a fine 40 or deuce deuce is irreplaceable by any craft or lesser beer.

Boone's Farm Strawberry Wine. That was fucking 40 year ago and it's still a vivid memory. Especially the color and textures that resulted.

Cool. You're there.

Now - understand just one thing. There are a *million* flavors, at *all* price levels, for the experience of alcohol. Don't get into a rut - expand, grow, make your senses (especially smell and taste) *work*. Not to mention calibrating volume to effect, taste to enjoyment, or image to what your drinking... and that last can be significant. You go to an informal job interview after the formal session and order a cheap alcohol, you're screwed. You need to develop your palette, tastes and most importantly, your *opinions* about what's good, what does the job, and what you'd never do again (given the choice.)

DD, Burn, Track. You know the drill.

PS: I've always said that if you don't like something once, you need to try it at least once again. In the case of certain alcohols, I would say that when you don't like it, you need to try it at least 3-4 times again. Reason: you're changing all the time and input changes you. I use to hate single malt scotches, but under the rigorous applications of friends at the time, finally came to understand and love them ( though frankly, they still confuse me, but it's a happy confused.)
