I've been meaning to get some poster board recently to put together a collection of messages for my door pocket. These will include "Sign says keep moving" (written in reverse to be read in their mirror), "No turn on red" (when I get honked at for waiting), "Sorry!" (obligatory), and "Put down your goddamn phone!"
Other suggestions?

I prefer the Russian way. Only have to keep one 9 lbs device in the car, and it's much more compact than signs.

Here's a suggestion: keep your windows up (unless it's hot), never get out of the car, and try not to flip people off. Other than that, any number of eyerolls, holding up hands in exasperation or embarrassment, or burying head in hand gestures are acceptable.
In a pinch, roll down your window and drop a shoebox of caltrops onto the road. That would be f'ing sweet.
