I don't know what's going on here with this orange stuff, but I'm too drunk to research or care. Here's a picture of Orange County CA, my former home.
I miss the carefree days of getting off work at 7:00, hopping in my Rabbit GTI with my board inside and heading immediately to The Wedge for a few hours of riding the waves. I'd stay out until the sun was down and then spend the next hour wandering the beach trying to find my glasses and keys. A few hours in class the next morning, a few more hours at work and then it was back to the beach until the sun dropped again. Simple, carefree days, with hardly a worry in the world.
If I had a little change in pocket it was off to The Crab Cooker for a bowl of their Manhattan clam chowder. That is, if the lines weren't wrapping around the building as is common during summer.
I can remember back to the early '70s as a small child riding in a seat on the back of dad's bike, my sister on mom's bike, and stopping for a bowl of chowder. Once we didn't have enough money to get back across the bay to where the car was parked and we had to search for deposit bottles to get enough money for a ride on the ferry.
The beaches may not be the best in the world and the fish and chowder at The Crab Cooker might not have been a gourmet treat, but every visit would bring me back to a simpler, carefree and dare I say it, happier, time.

Someone posted a pic of orange McLarens,
so I decided orange cars needed to be ranked. then it exploded from there.

Good to know how it began. Forgive me if I veer off tangents only semi-related to the topic as originally stated...

Orange County born and raised, here. Did you happen to see the news about the major swells at the wedge a couple weeks ago?

Perhaps, but I'm a little out of the loop regarding things in OC since relocating to St Louis a few years ago. Does this correspond to El Nino?
Right now I've got almost 48 oz. of a favorite lager in me, so remembering something as simple as my name is proving to be a bit of a challenge at the moment. Yeah, I'm a cheap drunk, but a happy drunk.

Ha, as long as you are enjoying yourself. From what I heard there some enormous waves that reached the top of the pier. I belive it was caused by a hurricane somewhere else.
