Seriously, I don't know about you guys, but I can't stand when people do this. Got a V6 Mustang? Cool, enjoy it. But don't try to slap some GT badges on there and try to persuade people, because you're not fooling anyone.

I know. It always cracks me up when I see stuff like this. At least he said it was a V6. I've seen ads where it says "GT 4.6 Mustang", and it is a stock 6-Banger 'Stang.

Agreed for sure. I mean, its not that damn hard to just say "Semi-auto" or "Flappy Paddle".

If I really wanted to waste time, there would be tons of ads to respond to with stupid errors.

that's one thing I hated on my 98 Camaro SS, true SS car but in 98 only the base SS cars got a single tail pipe so I got the badged up V6 comments all day long. couldn't get rid of the thing fast enough. I still have it but will never be back on my car.

Really? Guess that's some sort of upside. The duals are just so much better for looks, though. Considering I've seen an SS with the single exhaust, the duals give off a much better vibe. I'll bet you got a setup that's better than both of those, though.

dual exhaust is just standard muscle car V8 fair. I half my exhaust half done right now but way better so far. I have just a cat back but I have headers sitting in my garage.

I would also totally redo CAFE

I would fix the loopholes that make it cheaper to sell trucks and SUVs than wagons

And I would make the MPG testers do a mix of normal and hard driving during the test to get real world MPGs. I think turbos are cheating the tests right now and making N/A engines look bad. The testers probably don't accelerate that hard and don't get in the boost that much.

Agreed. Especially on the testing portion. I think there should be a figure on the window sticker for MPGs during hard driving. Not that it is really on your mind most of the time, but it would be useful to know. Also agreed on the turbos, so many vehicles have them today. If they were to abuse turbos a little more while testing, they would see much worse numbers.

I would also make 3 American sports cars CAFE-exempt.

The Corvette, Viper, and any future Ford GTs would not have to worry about CAFE.

This. For sure. Considering the segment they're in, nobody cares about their MPG. Heck, even the new 'Vette can get extremely good gas mileage. I sure hope the Viper and Corvette don't become eco sports cars later on when CAFE gets more strict. *shudders*
