With BMW bringing the 3-Series GT to market, its design has come under scrutiny from not just journalists but from the courts, too.

Hyundai is filing suit against BMW for blatantly stealing the design and name from their 2002 Elantra GT.

Saying:

"This is an outrage that BMW would steal our design for a car and pass it off as an all original concept. We know here at Hyundai, that we are a leader in the design of cars and would never, ever, steal or copy another brand's car design."

Hyundai will be suing for 50% of the profits generated off of every new 3-GT sold. We have reached out to BMW for comment and have yet to hear back.

I had the hyundai version of that kia a 2002 sonata with the v6 it had good acceleration and topped out @ 230km/hr
