By "see in production again" I mean a modern version of the past car. Not the same exact car from the past in production again. Anyway, I would like to see the Supra back! And this might be happening eventually.

Though my taste tends to run toward European or American Land Yachts (I can count on my fingers the Japanese cars I fancy), my answer would be pretty much entirely Japanese cars.

Supra, RX-7, NSX, GTO VR4, Del Sol, Evo — all true to form and in the spirit of the originals.

No BS Four Door Chevy SS. Take The Impala put it on CTS underpinnings. Detuned LT1 for SS duties. Make big CTS coupe, Design Monte Carlo SS that harkens back to this body style, Detuned LT1 for SS duties.

We need some cheap, RWD, 2-door sedans. None of this BMW 1-series bullshit. I want a 2-door RWD car with a real back seat and a trunk, for $15,000.

I don't want a Daewoo Hatchback for the price either. Looking at you, Chevy. I don't want a pretty underpowered 2-seater either. I want a 4-seater, 2-door, RWD, stick automobile. Something cheap, lightweight, and efficient, but not another goddamn cab forward FWD hatchback .

Pontiac should come back. Three Cars - Solstice - just build it again, Tempest - alpha platform ATS based, Trans-am - Alpha camaro based. If lincoln can have like 5 cars so can Pontiac.

As for the Z, yeah, the next turbo Z is probably going to be awesome, but I'm anxious as I have yet to hear much aside from rumors.

Exactly! We need a sub $20k rwd performance car. Honestly you can throw that turbo 1.4 from the sonic in it and sell it for $18k and I will hoon the crap out of it. Give us vinyl seats and manual locks and windows with no ac or stereo. If they can make work truck trim work on trucks why can't they do the same for hoonmobiles?

It would; maybe even lower priced? If the Cayman/Boxster are getting Flat-4s in the next gen/facelift, I say Porsche needs another 6 cylinder sports car to fill the void next to the 911. And there's rumors of a Porsche sedan in the future, so why not! ;)

It doesn't even need to be performance-oriented. Just give me a linear powerband and 4-wheel independent suspension, and that's all I care about. Keep it in the 2500lbs range or less.

I'd rather have the N/A 1.8 than the Turbo 1.4, also.

The ideal car would be a 1.5l 130HP / 100 ft/lbs RWD 2-door, 4-wheel independent suspension, disc brakes up front and drums in the rear (optional 4-wheel disc brakes) 5-speed manual weighing 2200 lbs with 4 seats, a large, open engine bay, and a large truck, for $15k. 15" wheels.

The reason they can make that work in truck trim though is because fleet buyers care about the price of the car more than the comfort. Sedans are not like that.

I used to say Porsche 928, but I actually think that the new AMG-GT is pretty similar in concept. Both have a V8 up front that drives the rear wheels via a transaxle in the back, both are comfy high speed cruisers that can do racecar in a pinch, and they weigh within about 150lbs of each other.
