Personally, I'm thinking Kona Blue.

(no pics because every Grand Marquis on google is one of four shades of biege, three shades of light blue, white, or black.)

What generation of Sable is it? My Marquis is an 07 with 90k miles on it and the only two issues its had is the a/c getting stuck on defrost and the compass not working. other than that, knock on wood, its been reliable.

Absolutely, the only Grand Marquis' that get any attention are pre-2006, by 2007 when sales were plummeting the only modifications they got were the occasional donk and a head unit or two. Also, Mercury + Bullitt = Mullet. Just sayin'.

It's an 01 LS. 3.0L DOHC. That engine is as strong as day one, but everything else on it has fallen apart. Power locks don't work, vinyl (ONLY THE SEATS ARE REAL LEATHER!) on the doors have fallen off, A/C stopped working five years ago (there's a giant hole in the compressor...), the $204.00 system of cooling hoses all EXPLODED while she was on the freeway, the PVC valve hose actually disintegrated, the catalytic converter imploded, and then the usual wear and tear of the suspension and ball joints...

I'm sorry. I went overboard again.

It does. I think the honeycomb/no emblem treatment will suit the front fascia of the Marquis better, with its bumpers that have harder edges, etc. Alas, no one mods 2006-2010 MGMs.

Kona Blue or Red Fire are my votes. A darker, saturated color with a high gloss would make this car unique and memorable without screaming "Look at meeeeeeee!"

Saw a test mule painted in Guard. Wished the green was more apparent. But that's just me. I wish the Mustang came in more wild colors.
