Still there, I know. I've got some very up close pics of it now as it sits today. 9/14/14

Looks like there was an oil leak while it was sitting here.

The interior looks pretty clean. You probably can't tell from the heavy tint, but there are Recaros in there.

The surface rust this is all the rust that's on the visible body. :(

No dents in the body from what I can see.

Could we maybe setup a coin fund to save this poor Porsche from it's 10+ years of torture?? Just imagine if everyone gave a quarter every now and then, even if it took awhile. I still firmly believe this is a car worth saving no matter what. What do you say Oppo? Save a 930?

The expiration on the tag on the license plate would tell you the last year it was on the road.

Tires look like potenzas, so they are most likely somewhere in the 6-10 year old range. They still have air as well.

I know who the owner is, he's a jerk of an owner. He's the one that's left it out to rot like this for more than 10 years! Lies about it too. And won't sell it for what it's worth in that condition. That won't stop me from trying to save it one day.

I can tell you he wants more than it's worth sitting as is(Too much). And he told me that it belonged to someone else, his "friend". In truth, I found out from my friend who has a friend that is family friends with the owner that it actually is his and he lied to my face; a college student with no intentions of buying it and only wanted to know more about it and nothing else.

Now my plan for this car would be to purposely trash the exterior a bit more, fix up the motor, strip the interior, and make it into a rally car..........because reasons.

Oh well, maybe he just needs to save up to get the stuff needed to fix it. Probably no the case here, but I know that I must have looked that way with my S, as it sat for a long time before I was able to get her back into road legal condition.

But if he really cared, you'd think he'd at least cover it up in the winter or in bad weather?? But no. How it sits now is how it is all year-round; no cover or anything to protect it. It can sometimes be found with trash on it too.

RSR all day, err'day. .......Now I need to save up some money before christmas because my only other option is to cash out a 401k from my old job and that's a dumb idea.

I'm selling my Audi so why not? If I could snag it for a cheap price, storage is cheap. 930s aren't. Buy it, clean it up a bit, store it until the summer, and then get it to a friend's garage for a week or two to hammer it into a running car with a fully stocked garage. Then either drive it, or store it some more while I assemble the parts for the RSR conversion - bumpers front and rear, new wheels/tires, widebody panels. I'll probably sell the interior of this car if I got it if it's in decent enough shape to make some money back and just put in a simpler interior with non-OEM seats to support the harnesses and rollcage.

If I show up with a truck, a trailer, and cash you 'd be surprised. Plus I might get lucky and his wife/SO might be nearby. That's the best way to snag a car for cheap - play to the other family members. My dad got a really nice motorcycle after the wife came out during the haggling and basically told the guy to take the cash and get rid of it.

People have tried to get that car for a decade. You'd need like three times what it's worth in that condition to get it off him, and his wife, if he has one is never there.

I've been thinking about this since you posted it last night... I wonder if he might consider a trade for a running vehicle? Since logic seems to have no place, maybe there is some "jerk gas station owner bait" that can be thrown his way that'll make him loosen up?

I think there's going to be a day where someone asks him about it, and he just gives in, unless there is some sentimental value for him.

Rust at finishing seams (front and rear) where people welded on aftermarket fender flares to get the 'turbo look'. Another dead giveaway this is a fake. Just an early base 911. Even looking at the exhaust visible in one image, certainly not a 930 factory exhaust. Looks like an early 2.7L motor, or even a *gulp* 912. Sad to say but someone wanted to look the part and failed with this one-
