Goosed the loud pedal and my engine revved to around 3k three times real quick like I was hitting the rev limiter, whole car jumped, check engine on and trans locked in limp mode.
Pulled over, trans downshifted to 1st on its own and I let it sit idling. Logged into the Torque app to check the code and I got Code P0201 "Cylinder 1 Injector Circuit Malfunction"
I killed the engine, turned it back on and it started ok. Slowly drove out, idle was a little rough but then it leveled out and seemed to be ok. Drove home normally and all was well.
This just leads me to believe my car knows Im interested in replacing it soon.

So nerve-wracking! IIRC the engine control modules on these had a tendency to develop open circuits for the ignition coils and injectors setting faults like what you have. Sounds like it might be time to find a new ride before it gets worse!
