Went to cars and coffee this morning and my favorite among all the Ferraris, Porsches, M-cars, etc, was this little Honda civic

Don't know how it started, but a friend and I affectionately refer to them as golf balls.

I'd have probably felt the same way. I always gravitate towards cars like that because it is so rare to see them in such good condition. Almost any Porsche, Ferrari, etc. is worshiped by its owner. Civics and such usually aren't.

Totally legit. Have you seen the one that was just in Drag Week? Things are monsters, and don't need massive swaps to lay down the law, even now.

Yeah, A certain amount of care is normal on exotics, but it really stands out when one is confronted with so clean an example of a car that was usually driven hard and put away wet. I barely even look twice when I see super clean 80's Ferraris (well, I do because I love 80's Ferraris, but the cleanliness is expected)
There was also a spectacular dark green 1974 VW Scirrocco, but he left before I got to snap a picture.

I think part of it is that you know that the owner probably loves this car more than any of the exotic owner's love theirs. You have to be obsessed with something to keep it in that condition.

I forget the year, but it had a modern civic swap, and was destroying a Mustang over and over (must have been pretty embarrassing for the rustang to get tree'd and outrun by a Civic).

I bet the civic owner loved that first pass though :)

James May is the perfect previous owner to buy a car from.

I had an Iranian physics professor that drove one of these and an El Camino.
