Yeah, you. Look me in the eye.
Look me in the damned eye and tell me that the American car industry, or any car industry for that matter, makes a car as drop-dead gorgeous as the 1949 Buick.
You can't.
Say what you will about safety and performance, but automobile styling will never have a high point like the pre-'60s golden age.

It's a matter of taste but I find '49 Lincoln and Pontiac better looking.

I like all my coupes to be noticeably longer than an average sedan.

I'm still of the opinion that the Granturismo (before they put a god-awful ugly splitter on the front) is the peak of modern car design. It cannot be replicated in any era other than the modern era, and is perfectly proportioned.

1960-1975 is when automobiles got to their peak in styling.
