Oppo: What is the best car on Los Angeles craigslist for under $10k?
Requirements:
Under $10k
Air conditioning
Working
Reliable
Not a convertible
No worse than 15 MPG
Preferably manual, but I could go for auto.
And (the silly requirement) something I can take to events and actually take part in. As in something to be allowed at the Petersen Cars and Coffee (300ZX was allowed). As in something to park in Supercar Sunday, not just in the same lot as (Again, 300ZX done good). It might seem stupid, but car events are one of the few things keeping me sane and being able to park in an actual event is awesome
Oh, and something not insanely low or able to be un-low-ified relatively easily.
Linky: !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!!
Oh, and I might be getting a ride in an original GT40 on Sunday. If it happens, there will be TONS of pictures.

I cheated and these aren't Craigslist. These first are Ebay. Some interesting results, though a lot of them are uncompleted auctions and won't likely end so low:

Ahh... Well I would make suggestions but I think they would fail your qualifications. 10k I could do but the air conditioning would be from the convertible top, so that scratches those two off the list, and it may be working now, but common reliability says it will probably be broken sooner than later and more often than not, so theres that. 15 mpg is easy, ya know, assuming you mean 15 mpg down hill on a clear and free highway, so other words, not LA... Manual would be an obvious, and getting into shows would also be easy, but the aftermarket for "low-a-fying" would be albeit slim, consisting of mostly custom fit kits...

The first 3 were kind of a joke, unless you're into Allante's and lowriders.

I just couldn't do it. That front bumper stops me every time

There's tons of kits to replace them with either molded plastic or the early style bumpers. I kind of like having the indestructible bumpers on a car I'm going to drive though. That way the car is less susceptible to getting fucked up in a parking lot or by people who can't parallel park.

I don't get it. Why not put 240 or 260 bumpers on the 280?
