half a bike, I suspect that my last one never progressed beyond half a bike is partly the reason I'm not being permitted a replacement bike :)

Is that an SV650?
I know the feeling, my first two bikes were project bikes. Both ran for short periods of time :D

They call it "backing it in"
Needless to say Ive attempted to do it with mild success on dirt but I don't think the knobbies would do too well on pavement.....

negative, although an SV650 was part of the family once, this was the first bike, in the truest sense of the word. I took my first solo ride on this bike when it belonged to a friend. who got it from his older brother, who then passed it to his younger brother who then gave it to me many years later totally not running. An 89 Ninja 500

Nice! I'm looking to maybe pick up a KDX 200/220 relatively soon. They're reasonably priced, I just need to pull the trigger.

I love mine. You just cant beat a 2 stroke offroad.
Ive got an 89 model. Original owner used it as a practice bike because his sponsors forbid him from using the sponsor bikes outside of competition lol. Nothing fancy, just an exhaust and some knuckle savers. It scares the living shit out of my buddys because its so savage when it comes to the power. Has well over 9k offroad miles on it. One thing to check for if buying one is if there is any sign of oil in the intake box. I had to rebuild the engine because i was getting so much blowby that it was pushing oil out of the breather. But I knew this when I got the bike.

Would love to have a classic sport bike like that. I had a CB400T Hawk for a bit. Wouldn't consider it a "sport" bike but it was fun for a while

Thats a beauty.
You'd like my sisters bike then. Triumph street triple.
We ride together all the time and needless to say its a beast.
Also, you should definitely buy that suzuki. Ive never seen one in person, seems pretty rare.

they are getting more so. The US doesn't seem to be a fan of smaller engined bikes, and this is a bit of an oddity being so small it is an inline 4, rather than a 2 cylinder most expect from a 400cc.
