So I'm about to go to bed, (it's after midnight in Pacific time) and it's freezing cold out...
And we are having out first major freeze of the year tonight (so it is literally freezing cold out :) and my mom tells me I have to pull in all of the pots to the garage. And we have a ton of crap in our garage, including stuff from a yard sale last year and stuff we were storing for my aunt as she bought a new house, which she has now bought and moved into but we still have a new sink and toilet in the garage taking up a bunch of room, plus lawn stuff, decorations etc. and so it's really hard to find places to put all of these pots. There are about 25 of them, so it takes a good 10-15 minutes to find a place for them. I really have no problem doing it, I just wish she had warned me I would be doing this before I was getting ready for bed, it's 35 degrees out, I'm wearing shorts and a t-shirt, and she already,is in bed.

Because you still live with your parents. That's the real source of your woes here.

I went to go work out at my grandparents doing yard work and it seemed really cold at 10am and it was a lot warmer than it was when I just went out, and so I was reeeaaally cold when I just went out.

Meanwhile, in the California valley, it was over 100 degrees. And smokey.

Do you get a lot of extreme weather there? My aunt lives in South Dakota and it seems like the weather is always extremely dry and hot or blizzards

I'm assuming you still lived with your parents during high school. Amiright?
I'm a senior in high school. So that's why I still live at home...
Yes I am planning to live at home during college because it will save me $8000 a year in housing costs, but I plan to move out after college sometime. I don't want to be a person who lives at home until I'm 30, but I also want to be frugal with money. And when I live like a 5 minute drive from campus, it makes sense to me to live at home.

the summer was really dry and hot, august wasn't so bad, but we had record highs most of July, we don't have many blizzards, but it usually snows some up here, but even though it snows every year, most people suck at driving in the winter (granted most people suck at driving anyway, but it's especially bad in the winter).

Hah, we had all of our smoke here in July, but 2 years ago,was terrible, this picture was the only one I could find, but this is not an exaggeration of our air at all for most of July and august of 2012, and often it was much worse than this picture, and the nearest wildfire ever was at least 30 miles away
Breathing this smoke for 2 months was not fun... At all.

I was mostly joking, but I do think that it's important to leave the home as soon as possible. Unless you really do trust your parents to make the best decisions for you (rarely, if ever, is that the case). Having them pay for your college can be a serious liability on making your own decisions toward financial freedom, or it can be a huge benefit. If you're short because the college doesn't offer financial aid or scholarships, well, there are tons of colleges out there that would probably pay you a lot to go to them, depending on how well you cheated on the SAT/ACT and how well you can write essays.
