Sooo, frustrated by mysterious electrical problems that turned out to just be a loose battery cable - thanks, Obama - I decided to go for a cruise down my favourite highway for doing so at night.

I've got to tell you, once the engine reaches operating temp and the car gets to speed, the new air intake just has the performance open up . I still need help figuring out how to get this thing to heat up properly, now. Hotter spark plugs, maybe? That means a wider gap, right?

Anyway, I should mention that my car is full of scrap, personal belongings, and some junk. I had groceries in the back seat...

I decide to "test the brakes" because racecar and - fun times - the fast (but PROPER!) deceleration causes a large can of Arizona tea to come SHOOTING out of the back, where it practically ricochets off my hip. It hurts, I'm in pain enough as it is from my disability already, and I have work tomorrow.

Also, my reaction to the pain has me sort of hopping in my seat, and that's when I discover that my seat belt buckle had temporarily failed. Good thing that Arizona tea was there to slow me down!

This delays me getting home by like 30 minutes as I loop around the neighbourhood I had turned into. My hip actually hurt too bad for me to turn around using a 3-point-turn and I am normally awesome at those.

I'll let you know what happens when I get the real intake shenanigans going on.

It still hurts, but I don't see any exterior signs of a fracture...there aren't things like stealth fractures, right?! Wouldn't it be hurting way more?

That is a horrifying idea that is the last thing I need! I'm just beginning to get back on my feet financially, I wouldn't be able to handle the massive cluster that comes with an injury like that.

the worst of my "brake checks" was box of tools & the loose staples and screws in front passenger area. (Front seat removed because racecar/work car)
