This demo derby car just came up on my Facebook feed.
Hmm, there's no door reinforcement. And it still has glass. And license plates.
Oh wait, you mean someone did this to something they actually intended someone to drive?
For sale: Location imperial ne, 1979 amc concord 245 straight six gas auto, Runs, Old and ugly, NEBRASKA title, Only needs battery $500 firm
So, is it worth it? It's either a RWD or 4x4. It's an AMC. It's got awesome deer insurance bolted onto the front. Then again, it's an automatic with a horn mounted on the front fender. And then there's the 'paint.'
So, a great offroad toy or LeMons? Or a waste of 5 Benjamins?
sm70- why not Duesenberg?

NP. Too bad it's on the other side of the state.

As you say, as an light off-roader and/or LeMons car, could be a NP there if all it needs is a new battery.

I'd tell him you would be happy to haul it away for him, but he should probably buy you lunch or something.

I'd pay 350 for it just for a laugh.

I am soooo tempted to get this and lift it a bit so I can off-road it. I don't think my wife would be crazy about that, though. And I really want a CJ instead lol.

A CJ would probably be much easier to clear, even with a greater cost. I'd rather have a CJ, but for $500 this wouldn't be too expensive. Scrap value is likely 60% of that anyway

I'm pretty sure this isn't a 4wd version. The ride hight seems too low and I think the track is too narrow.

Agreed. If I'm not mistaken, 4x4 was only available on the Eagle wagons. Besides, that 4x4 on the rear quarter panel looks a little like it was hand-drawn. Kinda like the 'tic-tac-toe' on the hood.

I would DD the SHIT outta that. Once the paint begins to bother me too much, ill bust out my air compressor and paint gun and hit it flat black, ditch the hub caps and go full Mad Max. Maybe find a more common engine once the AMC six decides its had enough.

There's something terribly gratifying about driving a car/truck/whatever that's absoultely hideous. It's like being that guy in the leather jacket, with the big nasty scar across his face.

You can drive it how ever you want, and never worry about scratching the paint.
