Due to my rear tires both failing (belts are broken/in the process of breaking) my car has been vibrating a lot. So much, in fact (if you watched my Morning Commute you'll see how much) that the exhaust clamp in the middle of my exhaust failed, meaning there was absolutely no tailpipe after the muffler.

Kinja'd!!!

I managed to get home and fix that by re-attaching the clamp and wrapping it all in a few layers of HVAC tape to hopefully keep it from vibrating much. We'll see how that goes (yes that is HVAC tape to the left. It's patching up a hole)

I also took off my door panel to fix a few vibrations. One of the clips had stripped out, one sheared, and one actually broke off the plastic that holds it to the door.

Kinja'd!!!

The solution was JB Weld.

Kinja'd!!!

JB Weld all the things.

I also had a vibration from my window motor switches. The switches were vibrating inside their bezel, and one of the plastic bits that holds the bezel in place had snapped off.

Kinja'd!!!

Since the bezel fits over the switches like a sleeve, I shimmed it with a decent amount of black electrical tape. It's nice and firm now.

Kinja'd!!!

For the plastic bit I just cut off a piece of a computer expansion slot cover and, what else, JB Welded it in place. Probably going to wrap it in a little black electrical tape once the glue sets so that it doesn't make any harsh noises against the rest of the door.

Wheeee, I like fixing things :D

*shrug*

I'm trying to diagnose my engine and figure out why it's running richer than Bill Gates. Also my tires are shot to hell and I can't afford new ones so I doubt it.

Speaking of which, I apparently have a bent rim! We may or may not be buying these soon.

Just trying to do the best with what I've got. Ghetto is pretty much a family tradition for us.

There is nothing wrong with that. My battery and air intake are both zip tied in place. The Trailblazer that was my Dad's that I drove before I got my first vehicle, the entire bumper was ziptied in place.
