found on imgur. Looks to be a mercedes 4matic to me. Probably would have held for a while. Is this even a viable way to put the hurtin on someone though? If you were at highway speeds where it would be an issue if the control arm snapped, you wouldnt have the bumps to snap it. If you were on a road bumpy enough, you would be going slow. Plus the safety features of the car. Isnt like cutting the brake lines on a 1969 Cadillac at the top of a hill

Yipes! Unless you happen to know a person will be driving with an unguarded cliff on that side or something, probably not gonna die. I still wouldn't want to be in the car though.

yeah no doubt! I have had wheel bearing seize and tie rods break, but not the main support for the wheel!

I saw this the other day, and would love to know the source.

This could be something as simple as someone trying to take off a hub assembly at a junkyard with a sawzall because they thought it would be quicker, or they didn't have the right tools..

I had thought of that too. Looks like a die grinder's dirty work which would make a hell of alot of noise if you were doing it on the sly. Although you could get that nut off with an adjustable and smack it with a hammer and the joint would separate (not everyone is that bright though).

Its basically doing the same thing as a ball joint giving out. Very bad, but not certain death.

Maybe it's a work in progress. Every day they would take another few passes with the sawzall until they hear about a crash.

Conti ProContact tires, very likely a 4matic or a BMW. Also, one of the stabilizer arms says Germany, so it must be one of them .
