Filled up the cruiser yesterday for an above average 13.4 mpg!

Kinja'd!!!

Then I took the wife's car today since the car seats were in mine

Averaged 48 mpg commuting.

So that works out at 30.7 mpg....not bad.

I averaged 9.something at the track this weekend. Guess I should have walked the 10 miles to work this morning...

its also RV levels of drag and weight too. I figured, all loaded up we weighed between 9000-10000 lbs road weight and with the lift my .cd was probably in the neighborhood of .5-.6. Factor in that at my elevation average we were at 5000 feet the whole time which knocks my power down to ~180 hp and 234ft-lbs at the crank (3% power loss for each 1000 feet) and less than 126 hp and about 164 ft-lbs to the wheels (30% driveline loss) and the fact that I could even maintain 70 mph with out reverting to gallons per mile....i was pretty stoked.
