There are still four slots available to race in the rookie league as of this morning. Qualifications start at 9:20 PM Eastern and the Race starts at 9:30 PM Eastern. Races are on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday but you don't have to be present to participate but you can hang out and chat with us.
If you are interested head over to iGPmanager.com, create a free account and look for the league cleverly named Oppositelock, the league password is"oppo."

So the way the game works is that you set up your car and strategy through the webpage and you can get let it run its course or you can actively manage and tweak your set up during the race, though over managing can be problematic.
I generally log in every morning to update my design team assignments and I the only other time I actively look at the site during the day is if league chat is active. I often set up my car right before the race, earlier if I have a commitment, but be mindful of the weather as the game uses real time weather from weatherunderground.com for the actual track.
While you can monitor timing and such on a mobile device you have to use java to actively participate at this time.
The more the merrier if your schedule permits.

The season opener was close in the pro league. I think the season will be really good.
