It's been at least an hour anyways. I really *really* hope I find a place to live in the next few days. Looking at places to rent, along with work, school, and everything else (read: breaking up with fiancee) it really is too much. All I want to do is sleep and start learning linear algebra.

Word. Here are cars...for listening.

Kinja'd!!! Kinja'd!!!

Hey man. I don't care if it's FWD I still want one.

Hang in there. Breaking up with a fiance is better than a divorce. One step at a time.

Housing is a bit tricky given the fact that you are also in competition with other students, so snag whatever you feel fits.

Just moved into a new place with school going on, and broke up with a gal after being with her for 5 years.

But after getting a bit of professional help with anxiety & depression, school is going 110% better than other times I've tried (aka I finally finished my associate's degree), making progress on cars (working on them, learning about them, and driving them :D ), and I have a date Friday. This is two months after not knowing how I was going to possibly keep going with my life. It gets better :)

Also, from what I learned from looking at places, make sure you expressly make it clear that you want the place cleaned BEFORE you move in. It only took 45 minutes to move all my furniture and belongings in, but it took 5 and a half HOURS to clean all the hair and shit from the kitchen and bathroom :/

Hey man don't worry I am not suicidal, I am just overwhelmed. Also behind in school (already). This is what happens when you undergrad in something (poli sci) and then decide later you want to do applied math.

The plate is full. Very full.

5 years is a long time, sorry about that. It's only been about two weeks since my engagement ended. Sometimes I feel very sad, but these days I am so busy that it's hard to be sad.

Damn, I'll miss my truck. But yeah, the driveway was the best part of that house. Better than the 3m^2 area I work with at home.

Oh, I did not mean it that melodramatically >_< , I worked out the serious stuff some time ago. I meant more along the lines of keep going towards the life I wanted (engineering degree, family, nice cars) and not settle (hourly IT job, alone, used Prius).

Just trying to say I can relate, bud :)

First meeting for Formula SAE is today, plus I have tons of Physics to get done, plus figure out what to do for a job. But being busier now is ten times better than sitting around like I was doing around summer, waiting for school to start and just being bleh over the gal.

Random, I forgot, do you have a fun car that you drive?

Oh no worries. I am working towards that life I want. It's going to be pretty hard, but I am getting there.

I don't have a fun car unfortunately. I figure when I graduate, I am gonna put aside some money and get the dream land barge (ie 77 Lincoln or 74 Cadillac or similar) as a gift for me for working very hard.

Right now I drive a 2003 somewhat lifted (Lol) Chevrolet Cavalier all riced out. It's okay, but it's not a fun car anymore. However it is good at deafening people.

Been there, my friend. Keep your head up and realize that these sort of situations are always the harbinger of something better, even if it doesn't manifest itself in the near term. I parted ways with my ex-fiancee in 2006, and it took me a good 6 years to figure out what I wanted from life - all this while starting and subsequently running my own business. I met my wife about this time two years ago - happy as a clam today. Buck up - the best days are still ahead!

Have an animated Saab for your trouble :)

Breaking up with a fiance is better than a divorce.

Truth.... so much truth.

Ever water ski? If you look at the water, you'll fall & hit it every time. If you look at the horizon, you'll keep skiing. Lesson is to look forward. One thing is for certain, things will change.

I came here expecting a tale of fox body mustangs
