There's not one car - not one! - in this final set that I'm not interested in. The highlight, though, is a toss up between the Clio Williams and the Fulvia. One's a hot hatch legend, and possibly the closest I'll ever get to driving the sporting version of my actual car in a Forza game; the other's a fucking Fulvia! The Mark 1 Focus RS wins major points, too.

My biggest problem with the car list is that way too many cars are recycled, 2/3 of them were in FM4 from three years ago, and most are road cars. I mean, there is a much bigger focus on the open world aspect now with alot more off-roading, why doesn't the car list reflect that, why not more off-road vehicles? Shame really cause the new additions seem really rather interesting.

I like the Defender being added. Can't wait to take that off road!

In fairness FM4 had 672 unique cars, the highest amount in any racing game ever. Of course there is going to be overlay but I do share the frustrations over the lack of newly released vehicles but do some digging and you find out why.
Basically licencing. Also fuck licencing. The new M3/4 are exclusive to GT, Porsche is locked down under EA, and many other car manufacturers are looking for exclusive deals rather than general licencing so yeah, Fuck licencing.

9 SUVs is too many in my opinion. I hate these bloody things.

I'm more happy about the MK1 Focus than I should be but I'm kind of worried about the lack of F Type. This means either one of two things. It's day one DLC or it is exclusive for another game. Man I wish car manufacturers would take video games more seriously. The whole GT concept filled me with so much confidence and now it is slowing fading away.

This makes me wonder how many cars GT6 has if you strip away all the duplicates.
And yes, fuck exclusive deals. About the SUVs tho, how much of FH2s map is off-road? Super- and Hypercars will be pretty useless there, and 9 SUVs/ Trucks in a 200+ car list is rather negligible. Still disappointed that they haven't taken their time to squeeze some more new to the franchise cars in there.

For me going of road will be the job of the rally cars like the Lanicas, Evos, WRXs etc. I hate driving SUVs in a sporting manner. That said the new Range Rover should probably be there and I'm surprised that the X5 & Q7 aren't there. I think that is the first time in a while they have been missing.
I'm really curiously to see what FM6 is like. FM2 to FM3 was a big jump and as much as I love FM5 it was really scaled back for a Forza game.

Same for me, although I have been a more of a Gran Turismo guy, before it turned to bug filled mediocracy, then I turned to PC sims and FM4. Believe me, I was really pissed as well when T10 removed content from FM5 just for fancier graphics, which I do not care about at all.

Despite what the internet says it wasn't for fancy graphics. For FM5 they threw away all of their past work and started everything from scratch as they had started using a new system of content creation also known as laser scanning which takes a long time and is very expensive but is definitely worth it in the long run as it only has to be done once. Thus why I'm curious about FM6 as thanks to this new method all of FM5's content can be brought forward without any of the GT nonsense. This should allow them to focus on getting new content because making Forza an annual franchise is ridiculous IMO even with two dev teams and they obviously need more time.

But in the end, what I care about in a racing game is having a good selection of cars and a good amount of different tracks to race on, I don't give a shit how accurate the track is, or if Jeremy Clarkson did some voiceovers. In that regard FM5 does not cut it for me. Also despite what T10 said, they definetly did recycle a few things, mainly certain car models. Anyway, I need some sleep, G'night.

There's sooo many cars I like there. More than Forza 5. If I still had a second in my day to dedicate to gaming I'd buy it.

I've got the time - uni student - but I've only got the one friend who's into racing games, and he doesn't have an Xbox. I'm just hoping some Oppos pick it up.

I used to do a Fourza racing league organised here on oppo. Most fun I've ever had on a racing game :) really competitive, close and clean racing. Shame it's not done any more. Needs someone to organise it (although the races were at like 3 in the morning).
