I stand by my rule of "Hate the quality, not the mod". If you half-ass your work, then you deserve any insults hurled at you. Today, I found two such......examples at the same intersection. The first was a first gen Fusion in that interesting sandy brown color. Darker than beige, but not a full brown. It had a really ugly fire engine red pinstriping job that was not applied correctly......at all.......But that was not the best part.
HE HAD BRIGHT. RED. KLEEN WHEELS. ON. HIS. TAN. FUSION!!!!!!
WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYY?
SERIOUSLY?
I AM IN DANGER OF I CAN'T EVEN!
AND THE WHEELS WERE STILL DIRTY!
After that automotive abomination I was treated to a not-so-tastefully modded STS with the V6. Black paint was in okay shape but the crappy tint job was appalling. THe wheels were painted a semi-gloss black that looked like it was not meant for automotive use. And then we get to the best part....IT HAD EYELIDS! (like these but on an STS)
......Only it didn't *really* have eyelids as the eyelids were either done with plasti-dip or really heavily layers headlight tint or something. Their gloss and color were way different from the paint of the car.
Some people need a high five to the face.

I once saw an Eclipse with eyelids... which were drawn on with Sharpie.

Yikes. I'm a fan of tasteful eyelids (rocking some on my IS), but actual plastic, CF, etc. But a sharpie..?!

My favorite sharpie mod is when someone colors their headlight bulbs blue to emulate HIDs.

You haven't seen mods until you've seen drum brakes lined with LED lighting.
