Hit post on this, got the three dots blipping until the browser crashed. Anyway, just when I'd thought I had the 550 sorted for a while, I get this error (not my screen, I don't listen to Fox talk).
Looks like the steering angle sensor is the probable culprit? But there's no way to tell, really, until I take it in somewhere. It's blipped on once a day for the last three days, and I'm guessing it ain't gonna fix itself.

ABS sensor? It seems like wheel speed if "start-off assistance" is part of the problem.

Maybe? But wouldn't the traction control system also throw warnings, then?

Manifold Explosions due to Nitrous Oxide do happen, skip to 0:50 in this video.

Something looks like it might've gone wrong there.

I have no clue what "drive control system" means. In my mind, that's the Master Control Program for BMW nanny programs.

Yup, Nitrous backfire. If he had that graphic flashing right before it happened, his intake manifold may not have went boom.

Well, you already know more than I do. I've been digging around some forums, but nothing seems conclusive. Thanks though!

Yeah, that was my thought, but now it's happened three days in a row.

Hows the battery? I've read so much that because all of the sensors are so sensitive, that once the battery starts losing charge, that you can see a ton of random errors.

it was, as suspected, the steering angle sensor. 1400 bucks, as suspected.

One of those things that I could have just left for a long time. I don't know why I fix this car, except when I drive it and flip it into sport and it's... Fun.
